So the "no sweets in my system thing" ended. I blame being sick because it pushed me towards comfort food. My appetite was gone but I wanted to snack mostly. I didn't have the energy for my workouts but today's spin class went well. Here is a summary:

Yes, the name of this blog has changed. My previous goal was to lodge myself into magazines such as Flex and Muscle Fitness HERS. I may still do that, but right now I am focusing on reaching my goal weight and finally finding the six pack that lives within. Follow me...

The Weekend
I had a good weekend and I was really good with the eating. Today I am not limited on what I can it. I am proud to say that I made it through. No chips, cookies, pizza, cake, etc for 21 days. It wasn't too bad I must admit. The first week was a little rough but I made it. I definitely have a new attitude about willpower...Just because someone else is eating something, doesn't mean I have to eat it. I am not going to die if someone eats a pizza hut personal pan in front of me. You would think I would be running for chocolate this morning, but Im not. I did taste a piece of the bread I had frozen because it was a gift and I couldn't eat it last week. It didn't even taste that great. I am also down 9.5 lbs, which shows that eating fruit, veggies and lean meat/baked fish is the way to go. Im def motivated to keep this up. 7.5 lbs to go.

Excited!
I am sooo excited....I got back under the 140s. I should have never made it to 147 in the first place but I decided to eat whatever I wanted and limit my exercise during the holidays giving myself a break. What did I think was going to happen. After stepping on the scale I was shocked but determined to get back in the 130's. Eating right and exercising is where its at. There is NO way of getting around it....NO way of escape it. The goal now is to get to 135 by the end of the month and maintaining it while working on increasing muscle tone.

Kick It Out!
Tuesday, January 11
B-oatmeal with 1/2 box of raisins
L-Tilipia and green beans
D-corn and grilled chicken
S-almonds and fruit cup
Comments:
Took it lighter today but had an intense Cardio Kick workout. I threw in a throwback CD and was really feeling it. I think the class enjoyed it as well. I am also excited about the steamed tilipia I bought from BJs. It is sooooo goood, light and fluffy. BJs rotisserie chicken was tasty too. Might have to stop out there again this weekend! Oh might I add that I havent had chocolate or any sweets in 11 days. WOW!

The Weekend
This was one of the best weekends I have had in a long time. Being "forced" not to eat certain foods is definitely teaching me to have willpower and recognize how many times I have given to something that someone else was having. Having to say no (sometimes many times a day) brings it to reality. Today I gave up a personal pan pizza, goldfish crackers, a Krispy Kreme doughnut and nachos. Having willpower takes discipline but its worth it. I will say there were times this weekend when I felt like I was starving but I "made it" to my next meal. I'm still here!
